Post Google Analyticator Widget on Dashboard does not show stats
First I want to say hello and a happy new year to you.

My name is André and I'm from germany, so sorry for my "not so perfect" english.

I have installed a Wordpress-Blog, downloaded and installed your Plugin "Google Analyticator" and that's my problem:
The code is correctly implemented into the site, Google Analytics has authorized my page and on Google.com I can see my stats.
But in the dashboard widget I do not see any stats. Visitors 0, etc. "There is no data for view.". But in my google-account there is.

I am successfully authenticated with Google.

Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong?
The blog exists 2 days now, but no stats in the dashboard :-( is it too early? Don't think so.

Many thanks for your help; I hope my english wasn't too bad for you :-)

Edit: Is there any log I can watch?
Edit2: I have installed the plugin on my test-blog with the same data and there it works. But why not in the other?!

Kind regards from germany "und beste Grüße"
André Heil

I'm getting the same problem. This plugin shows the dashboard widget, but only shows 0's for numbers. Both "compatibility" options are ineffective, as is removing/reinstalling and disabling/enabling the Widget option. This has been going on for 3 days. I can see my Analytics stats in Google fine, and the configuration is enabled and "Currently authenticated with Google."

Even though this is not exactly your issue, I would recommend trying some of the suggestions in this FAQ, particularly the ones related to memory limit: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=851

Now, if I understand both of you, parts of the widget do work, but other areas show 0s. Can you elaborate on what stat sections work compared to what sections don't?

I´m having the same problem, but just a little diferent, the stats showed on the widged are not the same showed on Google Analyts page.

For exemple, yesterday was 28 visit on the widget, but 78 on the google page.

Today are 7 visits (the number was reduced !) and on 125 on the google page.

I think that it could be some configuration issue on widget, but I don´t know what to do....

thank for for any help,

You may be looking at slightly different metrics. The widget gets the number of visits. You're probably looking at pageviews in Google Analytics. There is a difference.

Visits count the number of sessions. So, if I visit your website, browser two pages, leave, and come back later that night, the visits count would be at 2. That same activity as pageviews would count as 3, since three pages were loaded.

You can see the visits data in Google Analytics, so use that to compare against the widget to ensure accuracy. The number may not always be 100% the same due to caching on the widget side, but the numbers should be within a visit or two, with accuracy improving as the day goes on.

Is the timeframe of the widget your issue? The widget defaults at 1 day or 7 (I forget which exactly). Changing it to 30 days (on the widget options page) would match up with your Analytics logs, if that's what you want to compare to.

Thank you for answer Ronald,

My issue is that on the widget the number of visits is not the same numbers of the visits on the google´s page.

Now on google page I have 520 visits, and on widget only 208 visitors, I think that the widget shows only the unique visitors, and not count the returning visitors, there are a way to show all visits ?

I´ll try to change the field "days to get data" on widget to 30 days and see the results.

Thank you,

Lucas
